Repo Man Harry Dean Stanton gives an Oscar deserving performance as a burned out car repossessor. While teaching Emilio Estevez the tricks of the craft, they repo a Dodge Dart with a radioactive alien in the trunk. Very hip. 1984, 95 minutes
Mars Attacks The jury is still out on this Tim Burton big budget spoof of War of The Worlds. A second viewing made me a trifle more inclined to like it. The cast includes absolutely everyone. 1996 103 minutes Rated PG 13
Brother From Another Planet Early Jon Sayles story of a black alien who gets pulled into some very funny situations after landing in New York. This would have made a good 1/2 hour Twilight Zone but tends to wear thin after an hour. 104 minutes 1984
Earth Girls Are Easy This was made when Geena Davis and Jeff Goldblum couldn't get enough of each other. Look for an early appearance of Jim Carey and Damon Wayans. Lotsa schtick. 1989 100 minutes PG
The Man Who Fell To Earth If David Bowie were not in this poorly photographed version of an excellent book, it would suck. It's the story of a brilliant alien who uses his superior technical know-how to attain wealth while stranded on earth. Wealth does not bring happiness and he devolves into an alien alcoholic. Look for the British original; it drags on 30 minutes longer than the US cut. 1976 140 minutes Rated R but just barely.
Liquid Sky One of very few UFO Punk movies, this one gets nasty and may seem a trifle dated. You may really like it. 1983 110 minutes
